Ptychoceras

Ptychoceras had a few large radial ribs along its living chamber, but the rest of its shell was mostly smooth. It grew straight out in early life, but then turned 180 degrees and began growing that way. When Ptychoceras doubled back, it touched itself. It had a simplified ammonitic suture.
