Mantelliceras was sexually dimorphic, with the females being much larger than the males. The radial ribs ran over the venter. Some were short and terminated at the middle of the shell, while others extended along the entire shell. The were in a whole-half-whole-half pattern and very strong. The shell was involute and broad. Mantelliceras lived in Cretaceous Europe. it had a rectangular whorl cross-section.
