Ammonites Present HELP ABOUT

What does the shell look like?

  1. The shell is only slightly curved.
  2. The ammonite is coiled in a knot-like pattern made of U-shapes.
  3. The ammonite grows straight out and turns 180 degrees and begins coiling the other way. (If the turn is broken, then there should be two parallel shafts (straight shell).)
  4. The shell is coiled at least partially in a conical manner.
  5. The ammonite is coiled in a very loose spiral.
  6. The ammonite is coiled in a spiral at first, but then goes straight out and hooks back.
  7. The ammonite is coiled in a fairly regular shape.
  8. The ammonite starts off coiling normally, but then makes one massive whorl that does not come close to touching the previous coils.
